May 2024: Product Release

New Item Catalog and changes to Vendor Lists and Pricing.

Please watch the video and read below for highlights from the release.  For step by step instructions, please refer to the full articles:

Company Material "Item Catalog"

  • In the Admin menu, the Materials section is now called the Item Catalog.
  • Material items can be categorized as Material, Equipment, Tools, or Rentals. Use the Item Type field in the item's detail to make this selection. Different Item Types can be uploaded on the same list, multiple imports are not necessary.
  • Customize your dashboard by selecting which columns to display and drag to rearrange columns, with the option to save views with different configurations.
  • In the item detail there is an option for an Image URL. This is for future development, the image does not surface anywhere in the platform at this time.

Vendor Lists and Prices

  • Vendor lists are now managed from the Vendor Pricing tab in the Item Catalog, they are no longer managed in Admin > Vendors.  All vendor items must first exist on the company's Item Catalog
  • To add or edit a vendor list, select the vendor from the dropdown and choose Create Vendor List from the Menu top, right.  Copy items from the company item catalog or another vendor's list and update item details as needed.  Alternatively you can add items individually with the "+New Item" button.
  • New fields within the item details make it possible to track the dates the price is received and expires as well as lead time.
  • To request a supplier's current pricing, pull up their list and select the items you would like prices for and choose "Create eQuote" from the Menu top, right. Requests are emailed to the supplier, which they can update in a browser tab.  Users can review "Active eQuotes" and update pricing through the Menu icon, or from the confirmation email when the supplier submits the price.

This is not intended to request project quotes.

Project quotes should be kept on the Project Material List.
